Monthly Key Word Challenge 2013

When I saw this challenge, I thought it sounded like so much fun! It is hosted by Kim over at Bookmark to Blog. To read the rules and join up, visit here.

For each month, a list of key words is given. The challenge is to read a book that includes one of the listed words in the title each month. I went ahead and planned this out for myself by picking out a word for each month and a book to go along with it, so here's what I've come up with:
January [Smoke] - The Ruby in the Smoke by Philip Pullman

February [Sweet] - Sweetly by Jackson Pearce

March [Magic] - M is for Magic by Neil Gaiman

April [Garden] - The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

May [Shatter] - Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

June [Sea] - The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay

July [SPY] - Double Crossed: A Spies and Thieves Story by Ally Carter

August [Test] - This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers

September [Blue] - Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier

October [Phantom] - The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux

November [Work] - The Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

December [Star] - Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

  1. Oooh, so many good books! I hope you like The Phantom of the Opera. That was one of my favorite books for a long time, which is a bit of an anomaly since normally classic French literature is not exactly my cup of tea :-) Happy reading!
