I know it is late, but I haven't forgotten today is Faturday the 13th!  Fatty is resting on my lovely Thirty-One laptop case, bearing my blog's moniker.  Don't they look good together?

Unlike previous Faturdays, which occurred every Saturday, I have decided to declare the 13th of each month as Faturday the 13th.  Fatty has missed being the star of these photo posts.  So much so, he seems to have turned into a bit of a monster.  ^_^

No, I did not get Fatty into a flapper costume, but he seems to like the whole “long-cigarette-holder” prop that usually accompanies such a costume.  Here’s how it happened:  I was waving around a paintbrush handle, trying to get Fatty to play, and like the predator he is, he snatched it, claws and fangs out, all the while I was snapping photos.  Here is the product of that incident:

A Belated Faturday [5]

So, if you read the update, this should have gone up last night.  Well, bonfire, s'mores, and Dutch Blitz (not to mention my hilarious cohorts) kept me out til 4am!!!  But I had tons of fun (okay, maybe not tons, but however many pounds I gained from those s'mores, a.k.a. A LOT) and my buddies and I cemented plans for our monthly group meeting.  Woot!

So, on to Fat Fat...

As you can see, Fatty is "reading" Sweetblood by Pete Hautman!  Yay for reading cats!

First Faturday!

Since this is my first post on my new blog, I decided to start with a feature! Every Faturday (as opposed to Saturday) I am going to choose a photo of my cat, Fatty, to share. If you have any questions about Fatty (or for Fatty, as I'm sure he would love to answer your questions), just leave a comment!

The first Faturday photo is the original pic I used to get what is now my profile pic:
In the edited photo (my profile pic), I used Photoshop to make Fatty's eyes more visible. The result is that he actually appears to be looking at the camera in addition to looking more menacing and paranormally feral:

Which he's not. He is super laid-back and the biggest kitty prince this side of the Mississippi. I would add a little crown to the pic, but the Photoshop edition I have doesn't run on my current OS (boo), so until I can get another edition, I likely will just post originals for a while.
