Where I am in the writing process: I still haven't been writing as much as I want to, but I have a week of vacation coming up so hopefully I will make up for lost time. I've also decided that my current WIP, which was supposed to be the beginning of a series, should be the second book rather than the first, so I'm in the process of planning that first book.
My current problem(s): Just time to write, mostly, but also figuring out how to go about planning this new part of my WIP.
Sarah's ???: Overcomplicating vs. Undercomplicating. I'm afraid sub-plots in my novel are going to take the main focus. How much is too much?
My answer: I overcomplicate and undercomplicate depending on what part of the WIP it is, but I usually catch it as I'm rewriting or editing. I also haven't gotten far enough to really see the sub-plot vs. plot ratio yet.
My ???: Don't have one this week. Once I get back in the swing of things, I'm sure I will think of something. ^_^
Thanks for

Have you finished the second book? If you're a good ways into it, I think you should go ahead and finish it. That way you'll know the characters a little better. Maybe be able to figure out what should be the start? Not very helpful, sorry!
ReplyDeleteLOL, no, I'm no where near finished with it. That is kinda how I came to realize the back-story should be experienced rather than explained because I can't seem to move forward the way it is now.
